Me Mate in Aus tells me their Network Guys setup a static route from
Melbourne to Sydney for 7500

... If we're talking disparate networks here -- maybe iptables and nat ( or a twice nat? ) could do a trick for you ? How do the heartbeats hit the clients ?...

Hi, I'm not sure if it could apply on your situation but using RVRD should able to bridge two multicast network with same subject name hope this help charles ...
