Dear All
I heard a couple of Reports of "RRCP Node Reboot" errors in ssl/rrcp
log files
Both London Sites, a certain Suisse Bank and a certain French bank
urun RMDS using RRCP Backone in Multicast mode
The symptoms are....
Your restart an MDH or DTS to re read triarch.cnf or similar config
and it complains the p2ps have restarted
Sometimes the erros go after a few minutes as the RRCP catches up
with missing packets
Othertime you need to restart p2ps
Reuters say this ISNT a BUG ;o)
Has anyone else seen this....Maybe we could ask for a Reuters
Enhancement in this products like we used to get on Triarch !
I.E You restart an RRCP Node and you dont need to restart any
others !!!!
Would be intesting to hear your comments
Regards
Chris

Apparently Someone is leaving HSBC next week and moving on to ML
So if you fancy a few beers and meet up with some old Buddies ,,,,, There could be worse things to do than attend the Ledger Building in Canary Wharf, London, Thursday 1st Feb 2007

Reuters tell me that Bulletin 180 is not available on RMDS due to the
amount of .cpd file changes on recent versions.
Unless anyone else knows different ?

A few years ago Reuters released a Technical Bulletin documenting
recommending default Triarch.cnf configurations for Triarch.
This was called Bulletin 180
Has anyone seen a similar document for RMDS ?
Many Thanks
Chris
sorry guys, i don't really understand. of course, upgrading all node to the same RV version is definitely a good idea.
what if I only have 2 nodes running Rv7.4 while others running v6.9??

Only testing would really show. If you are upgrading your infrastructure to Solaris 10 you may as well upgrade all rv nodes to 7.2 as well.

Oh! As all our servers on the RV backbone are running with RV 6.9, upgrading that particular RV to 7.x would be fully compatiable with v6.9 and no side effect?

Infact they now tell me that Solaris 9 is NOT supported by them at all! It should run but they cant help you if
you have any issues with RV on Solaris versions other than 8 or 10.
If you want to upgrade to Solaris 10 then you will need to upgrade RV 7.2
