The Maurice Lynch Showband was an Irish Showband based in Castleblayney, Co Monaghan. The band enjoyed great success throughout the 50s, 60s & early 70s and toured Ireland, England, United States, Canada and enjoyed a fantastic success in Scotland.

Maurice Lynch the Band Leader died 3rd September 1987 but his popularity still lives on, a recent nostalgic reunion of the band which included four of the original members and four of Maurice's children received a fantastic reception on a four night sell out tour of Scotland and one night in the Glencarn Hotel Castleblayney.
The band was overwhelmed by the reaction of the Scottish people who thanked us for great memories and some brought Photographs (Handouts) dating back 30 years and some even brought in LPs We would like to thank you for a fantastic time and invite you to send old photos of you and the band, stories or a special memory you may have, to do this click on 'post' (top left hand side)write your story and send, easy as that.
