Hi Ben, and welcome to the club..

The reversing light switch, is under the gearbox, facing front, and
had a short cable attached, with a connector on the end..
It should be a fairly simple job to replace it...
If you disconnect it, and the lights go out, then it would indicate a
faulty switch, if not, there is a short somewhere..
