has anyone had experience in changing starter motor on 626ge ?
mine is 1.8 gxi 16v dohc. p reg 77k miles.
starter noisy , needs swapping , have a local shop who will do
recon /exchange unit for £55 but seems like it may be a bugger to reach
for access.
from underneath removing engine splash shields ?
would like to diy swap , any help appreciated.
got any diagrams from the workshop manual john ?

ps, i was looking at a 2.0 mazda 6 , there seems to be 2 variants of
the mzr LF petrol engine , one with the dipstick close to radiator, and
one (55 reg on )with the dipstick in the centre of the rocker cover.
does anyone know if this is essentially the same engine ?

looking for a handbook for the euro mazda 6 on the net but no luck but
lots of workshop manuals available.
