mis firing under load - checking ignition leads - fuel filter (fuel pump relay)

Ok thanks, will do these.

Thought I'd do the fuel filter first, as it has never been changed, and I alredy
have it.

In one of your previous posts you said " it is a good idea to release the
pressure in the fuel lines by taking out the relay for the fuel pump," - where
exactly would this be in my mazda?

You can't really check the leads.. but as a rule, they start to breakdown from around 60K miles... I would start by checking the plugs first, and change if...

Thanks Mileage is 100k, so plugs should theoretically have another 8k of life left. I'd prefer not to spend any money on it, unless it's really, really...

You still need to check the plugs.. mainly for the condition, but the colour will give an idea how it's running.. give em a clean, and check the gap.. usually...

It is slightly different with your model, but the result is the same.. Lift the rear seat cushion, and remove the service hole cover. Disconnect the fuel pump...
