Hi hkoratala, and welcome to the club..

there should be no hesitation or "holding back" in first gear. It
could be related to the codes you have pulled.

Firstly, you need to clear the codes, and then recheck after driving
a few miles.
To clear the codes, disconnect the battery, and then press the brake
pedal for 10 seconds... reconnect the battery.

code 02 is the crank angle sensor. (check wiring, and test with a
meter for open/short circuit)
code 15/17 is the L/H oxygen sensor... (better to replace both
sensors, as they normally go close together) usually from 50K miles.
code 16 is the EGR position sensor (open/short circuit) check wiring.
code 69 is the water thermosensor (cooling fan) open/short or
switches at wrong temp.
