Rear brake calipers??!!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #931 of 2693 |
Hi
New member looking for some advice. Bought a May 2000 GXi 2.0TD
saloon about a year ago - great family car and got it for a good
price. Couple of months ago handbrake stops working and I go to my
regular mechanic who frees off a stuck caliper. All is fine for
about a month now handbrake lever points at the roof without
working! Phoned my mechanic and he says I need new calipers - for a
4 year old car with genuine 60k!!?? I know that pre-95 626 had bad
handbrake issues but is this really true for the later model?
Any info will be very gratefully received
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris, glad to hear it's sorted.. £200 would be from a Mazda dealer.. They can be bought for around £100 from motor factors.. and an occasional squirt of...
