Btw, I don't think the stalks are due to it being an early model. I
had a '96, and they were the same. It's just the way they have them
in Japan. I now have 3 Suzukis, all built in Japan, '93, '96
and '98, and they are all like that.

I found a similar problem with mine, but I am probably a bit shorter than you, and it wasn't as bad. I'm afraid the design was optimised for Japanese...
