V6 Bunny hopping !!!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1132 of 1205 |
Hi All.

I recently purchased a MX3 (1.8 V6 )which the former owner was going to
scrap, i have spenta few £££s on it with MOT etc etc and it recently
did a 400m run to London and back from Devon...Evrything is
fine...except.pulling away in 1st gear and changing into 2nd it starts
bunny hoping like mad, the only way to stop it is get the revs up and
slowly release the clutch and this "sort of" stops it....Unfortunatley
the wife knows about this cure and i fear VERY soon im going to need a
new clutch :-) .

It does not matter if the engine is cold or hot, it still does it..Has
any one any ideas what this might be as my local garage want to charge
me £140 just to put it on the diagnostic machine to have a look.

Many thanks
