Well, if the gaffer tape worked, maybe a clumsy mechanic put a
screwdriver through the new tube when he was fitting it.

Try gaffer tape again - if it works, take it back and demand a new
tube, and more care with the fitting.

try the distubiter. as when mine did this they had put on a new distubiter, rotor cap and found the vaccume leek. it was one of the three. sorry guys but after...
