Hi Mark & welcome,
I hope some new blood will kickstart this club again.
The hatch balance should be controled by the hydraulic dampers and a
finger light touch should be all that is required. Perhaps your fluid
is a bit 'stale'. I never had to strip mine, perhaps someone has had a
similar experience??? Come on you lot. My Celica will still wop you
all but it is still not as classy to own.
