Re: [Mazda MX3 Owners UK] How do you when its no longer sensible to repair your MX3?

Don't use a a main dealer!! I had a dive shaft & new boots fitted for about
£200 at my local garage. Cylinder head gasket shouldn't be prohibitive. I
couldn't run my V6 '91 if I had to pay a main dealer, but my 'local man' does a
good job of keeping it going. Hiowever, you need to keep an eye on costs of the
annual MOT and you are quite right in considering that the time may come when
repair costs are too requent and prohibitive. Most '91s I see on the road look
to be in good nick so it may not be too expensive to deal with a bit of
corrosion? And remember, if the time comes that you can't afford to keep it
going, it shopuld be snapped up by a boy racer who has gor the DIY skills -
perhps your local garage again!
