Description

This group is all about textiles, mixed media textiles, fibre art and related crafts, whether melted or not.

Here I will be posting links to craft work I've produced recently and please feel free to do the same, ask questions or just hang out!

Feel free to add your own files, photos, polls, calendar dates (know any great craft fairs or exhibitions happening soon?) and links (please keep them craft and textiles related). The links you add don’t have to be your own, I’d love to see any craft eye candy you find out there – just add it to the Eye Candy Links folder.

I'll be setting regular craft challenges (sometimes running from friday - friday, sometimes for a little bit longer). Feel free to join in and add your finished item photo to the group or just watch and see what we get up to.

You can find information for all of the past challenges here.

Each friday I'll be sending out a newsletter letting you know what the next challenge is and general crafty stuff I've been up to.

If you’re not a craftsperson yourself, just an appreciator, then please don’t be afraid to join in. We want to hear from you too.

You're welcome to send messages but they will be moderated for spam. Spam includes news unrelated to craft or repetitive selling messages.

At this stage I don't mind if you have craft messages about things you're selling but I would ask that you limit them to once a week and that you at least "sugar the pill" by adding something unrelated to selling like images or cool crafty links. I reserve the right to change my mind.

Thanks everyone!

Rachel

I am in the "same boat" so-to-speak as you are. I am trying to convince my art department that fabric sculpture is a norm, and it is! One thing I have recently
