Merseyactivist brings together local groups and individuals interested in publicising or taking part in progressive activities and campaigns.

Anyone who wishes to publicise their own events is free to do so providing they observe the following code of conduct :

• E-mails should relate primarily to events and activities. This is not the place for political discussion and point scoring. (The place for that is the MerseyActivist discussion forum or the merseyactivist_debate mailing list - click the link to take a look & sign up)
• Events should be broadly political in nature. Eg : environmental, trade union and human rights issues are ok. Charity events and cultural activities are not unless there is a political tie-in.
• Please show respect to other group members : no insults or abuse.

Be careful about giving out personal information - do not give out private addresses or phone numbers.

Please note that if you post a message to the list your email address will be visible to other list members. You may prefer to use an easily 'disposable' webmail address such as Hotmail or Yahoo.

Also, if you forward to the list a message that someone else has sent you, their email address will be visible in the forwarded message, so please consider if they would want their details to appear on the list, and if not, please delete these before sending message on.
