Here we have for auction a 1972 Smiths electric float which is a piece of motoring history being registered as an historic vehicle.  I believe it to be MOT exempt, tax exempt and congestion charge exempt.  This vehicle is ideally suited for pleasure park, garden centre, advertising, promotions, collector or indoor use where emissions and noise are an issue as it is almost silent running.  The possibilities are endless.  Has good open sided load carring capacity and rear lockable storage space.  It does need a little attention cosmetically (check photos) but is in full working order.  There is a lot of these still in use in the Gloucester area and so spares should not be a problem.  The batteries are in good condition being charged in January and still have life now without recharge.  In normal regular use overnight charge is sufficient.  Single phase charger supplied with vehicle.  There are two new tyres fitted and the other two are in good condition..There is an extensive file of service history, maintenance records covering a lot of its life.  It is registered as an historic vehicle and there is a V5 present.

He couldn't use the charger due to it not having a user selectable 'low power mode' that you need if you are going to charge off a normal 13A socket, alas all...
