Thanks to everyone who sent pics of their Wales & Edwards milkfloats.
After having the wheels sandblasted, new tyres, new brake hydraulic
pipes and minor tweeking, we were given three weeks notice to quit our
warhouse! After taxing and insuring "Ernie" I had the pleasure of a non
stop three mile road Journey done at 7.30 on an August evening taking
15 minutes. Everybody I saw waved at me and even a group of youths were
cheering! I appreciate that the registration plates should be Yellow
and white the float just being too young to have the black plates on
(only legal on pre 1/1/1973 vehicles).

Work is continuing to complet the restoration.
