Item number: 4514822921
Lightly used float covering milkround of 8 miles 4 times a week. Batteries 2 1/2 years old. We are only selling due to using diesels as our area now has more coverage. These vehicles are excellent value for money if you are in an industry which it would be benificial for. i have seen these vehicles used for many pusposes including veg stalls and mobile workshops.

VERY NICE!! I'd love to buy that, but it's the old transport problem
again. Will have to wait for one nearer home.
MORRIS electric milk float - tax exempt/MOT exempt Item number: 4514822921
I'm trying to contact Paul Birch to see if these are still for sale but I don't
want to join Yahoo to do it as I'm on
office computer and will get too much SPAM from them.
Can you please help to put me in touch.
Thanks

They seem to be popping up fairly frequently on eBay now - I guess lots of
dairies are replacing them so they're all turning up on the market.
If you look back at the seller's Feedback, it shows that he's sold a few
electric vehicles before, so more may be on the way (but probably all in
the same location so not much use to you unfortunately).

Yes, undoubtedly. My cells are within the size range quoted, but no
maximum weight is given. I wonder why the battery manufacturers don't put
some kind of ridge or small indentations on the sides of the cells to help
you pick them up. Most car batteries have some form of integral "handle"
like this.

Really? Cripes! They're about 6 inches by 3 inches by about 18 inches deep
(at a guess), and quite a weight! 378Ah capacity (although probably about
half that in reality now!!!)
Looking a bit more closely at that tool from RS, it looks like it relies
on there being a ridge on the battery, so it would probably be useless.

Item number: 7129634780
Description 2 superb photo images from the early 1950s of a Morrison electric milk float no. NDD383 registered in October 1953 used by the GLOUCESTERSHIRE DAIRY & CREAMERY LTD whose dairy was at 23 Promenade Cheltenham Gloucestershire. The float is seen laden with pint and half pint milk bottles in wire crates with GDC on the side. Photos measure approximately 18cm. x 12cm. (7in. x 5in.).
