I'm on the Michael Welch First Alert list. Right now he's busy
shooting Joan of Arcadia but if I hear anything about him returning
on Stargate I'll let you all know. This is what Michael Welch says
about returning on Stargate in an interview with gateworld.
GW: How do you feel about the possibility of Young Jack returning?
MW: Well, it definitely is a possibility. I mean, of course there's
Joan of Arcadia now and that kind of conflicts with it. But I don't
know. I mean how they work at Stargate is that they just kind of
leave it up in the air and then bring people back if it's convenient
to the storyline, or whenever. But it's definitely a possibility.
There's no guarantees but that's mainly because of the Joan of
Arcadia schedule. I don't know if they'll be able to work that out.
But if they are I'd love to come back.
GW: What would you like to see happen to the character if you did
come back?
While on the run, the cloned Jack O'Neill hides in his water hole.
MW: A lot of space stuff. I don't care what. I'd maybe like to fly a
ship and blow stuff up, possibly. You know, I mean, because this
would be the perfect opportunity to do that stuff. I'm not
complaining about "Fragile Balance" -- it was one of the best
experiences ever. But a lot of it was just like fishing scenes,
going to a liquor store. This is a sci-fi show. I want to be in
space! I want to be fighting aliens. I want to be doing stuff like
that. And again, I'm not picky. I'll do whatever they tell me to do.
If they want to put acne on me I'm going to go ahead and let 'em!
That's kind of what I'd like to do. Some kind of fight. I don't
know. I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore.
GW: Michael Greenburg proposed a story where you came back with
Colonel Maybourne who is basically Jack's nemesis but partner in
crime. He didn't explain the story too much except that the title
was "You Ain't Jack," and didn't go into it much. But we all thought
it was a pretty cool story and wished it would be executed.
MW: Yeah, that'd be cool. I think, based on the end of "Fragile
Balance," which was basically my character saying, "Well, from here
on out we're not the same person anymore" -- so, yeah, that would
definitely make sense. But, yeah, that'd be fun. I'll come back and
mop the floor if they want me to. I just love doing it. Yeah, I'm
really happy with anything. But that sounds really cool.

of season 7 but (obviouisly) that didn't work, but they also said but...well,
here's what was said...
"We would love to see young Jack return and there were attempts to come up with
a late Season Seven episode for him. I don't think we'll be seeing him again in
Season Seven but if we do another season of Stargate SG-1, we will definitely
see him back." (Co-executive producer Joseph Mallozzi, in a chat at

As for your question, I have no objection to slash being posted as long as its
in the form of a link in a message but, as i stated in the rules and regs,
(which i've just realised are all messed up; i'll fix that ASAP) please don't
post slash directly to the group (does that even make sense??) Basically...You
can put a link in a message, with a warning that it contains slash in a hugely
obvious, repetetive way. I personally dont't like slash but i know that alot of
people out there do...
...if y'all ask really nicely, adn enough people want it there can be a folder
up for slash links...? (just don't expect me to read 'em <g>)
Is that pretty unusual for a group? I've never seen one with both
gen/ship/whatever *and* slash...anywho...i digress.
Let me know if you do adn i'll add some relevant warnings.

He's such an awesome little bugger--er I mean person who has all
Jack's memories and stuff...
This is a wonderful idea for a group...especially since there are so
many of us who like the guy and since TPTB haven't even mentioned him
once after "Fragile Balance". Oh well...that is what fanfiction is
all about.
I just found and read this story and I really liked it - you should
give it a try.

I'm glad someone has thought to make a group for mini-Jack. I love
his character and i love all the stories people come up with
featuring him expecially the x-overs. I am working on one but im at
a block at the moment so at this stage it may never be finished but
i lok forwar to seeing anything from other people.
BTW My Name is Melissa I usually go by Aussie Mel i live in
Gloucester Australia and i am a huge fan of stargate and anything
Jack.
Also a question are you allowed to post slash here aswell as gen or
just the genral stuff cause i know of a couple of mini-jack slash
fics on Area 52.

Just thought of a challenge for this group - maybe one of you can find
some inspiration here:
Mini-Jack/Cassie relationship
Both had to suffer from genetical experiments, one owing his existence
to it and the other nearly dieing from it. How would they relate to
each other with their somewhat linked fates? Would it have anny
effect(s) on the SG-1 team?
Another possibilitiy would be - fast forward a few years - What would
be if Mini-Jack and Cassie had a child together? Just think of it, on
the one side the Ancient marker gene in Mini-Jack and on the other
side the modificated gene-structure of Cassie. What effect could that
have on their child? What would they have to do to keep their child
safe from whatever danger is around at that time (be that NID, some
other alphabet group or aliens like the Goa'uld "of the hour" or the
Wraiths if they somehow get to the Milkyway)? Heck, how different
would the world be by then (or not at all?)?
This would also have potential for humor/teasing with the SG-1 team...
e.g. "Grandpa Jack" and "Grandma Sam/Janet"
Bonus points for any fic that (if set after S7) keep Janet around in a
logical way, be that through a crossover or by applying Stargate tech
(hey... you know what? Loki got loose again and played around with one
of the members of SGC... three guesses who and the first 2 don't count...)
I hope someone gets inspired and writes as story about this. Please?

Oooh, i know the Garden of Stones lot, i just added the link...feel free to
delete it and add themyourself how you want to do it though! I thinki'd read
them all at once, so I had it in my head it was just one big long fic! Reeeeally

I can do an archive if enough people are interested, but it'll be a pretty basic
one as all of my knowledge on web page building has come from the 'try it and
see what happens' method.
If there are enough people willing to have their stuff archived then i'm up for
it...unless there's someone with mroe experience and know-how who wants to do

Thanks for creating this group.
A little comment on the rules - I may have overlooked it but maybe you
should include that Spammers get banned and reported and their
messages deleted. While not really necessary it might keep the less
agressive spammers out of here.
Oh and maybe if some of the annoying viri start to send themselves
here you might want to consider disallowing attachments thus
preventing viri from transmitting themselves from here to the members.
Just as a little constructive criticism at the start of this group's
hopefully long life.
