Java ME Developers: Gaining database and SD card support   Message List

How does a customer relationship management (CRM) software package gain efficient data management and SD card support for its mobile product targeting Java ME-based BlackBerry devices?

Maximizer Software, a CRM vendor in British Columbia, Canada, announced a new relationship with database developer McObject to achieve that goal.

Maximizer will integrate McObject's Perst™ Lite open source, object-oriented embedded database into its mobile CRM software for BlackBerry smartphones. Perst Lite, through its support for Sun's JSR 75 specification, will enable CRM data to be stored on flash memory-based Secure Digital (SD) cards to extend storage capacity while on the road – making it possible to access more customer information in real-time, instead of relying on networks to download new data to the device.

Users will be able to access more records locally in order to retrieve and update leads, opportunities and customer service cases, customer notes and schedules, in order to stay productive and reduce downtime in the field.

For more information, see today's post on the 'Perst Blog'.
