We got accepted into the Palm Pre WebOS developer preview today. Nice framework
with a solid emulator.
The biggest advantage the Pre seems to have over the iPhone is that it supports
background apps.
That's good news for apps that rely on location tracking (Locle).
However, it doesn't look like they make it easy for users to work out what apps
are running in the background, what cpu/data/network/battery resources they are
consuming.
Has anyone else heard the rumour that Apple will soon allow 1 app to run in the
background on the iPhone?
