Monday 6 August is the August bank holiday, and I doubt I’m
the only one to have things planned already for the long weekend. July 30, for
an informal evening in one of Dublin’s finest sounds OK with me. We don’t
need a sponsor. If there’s barfood nearby, we just chip in for a few
plates. Easy. So, just a matter of finding out who’s interested, and
picking somewhere.
Though I strongly recommend that the venue not be too noisy, as
it’s hard to “talk shop” at the top of your voice!

Subject: [momodublin] Photos from June... And next meeting
Hi all,
I feel very guilty for not writing up about June's meeting.
Firstly, many thanks to the speakers: Hélène Haughney, Nubiq; Kieran Mahon,
Vodafone; Stephen Oman, ChangingWorlds.
And of course ChangingWorlds themselves for sponsorship of the sustainance!
I thought it was a great evening. (With the small exception of the acoustics.
Oh, and the lighting, based on the quality of my photos at least ;-) )
Some snaps at Flickr as usual:

It was exciting to see so many of you there, and I felt that the discussions
both during and after the presentations were first class.
So what next? I feel we should aim for date in 2 or 3 weeks time for the next
event. But since it's likely to be a bit sparse due to holidays, howabout just
a social / networking gathering?
Then we can ramp back up in September with something spectacular, like our
first "Demo Night"? :-)
What do you think? Any reasons why the 30th July wouldn't work? Or the 6th
August?
James
