TexoMobile and AdMob join forces on iGloo.mobi
 
In the first such partnership in the emerging mobile space, TexoMobile and AdMob team up to help Wapmasters the world over monetize their mobile sites. To get Wapmasters interested, TexoMobile and AdMob have created a Wapmaster Contest on the largest wap directory of its kind : iGloo.mobi. Each week wapmasters can win $50 coupons to promote their site on the AdMob network. The goal of the contest is also to help wapmasters realize that they can earn with their traffic by placing advertising on their sites much like on the web.  AdMob’s marketplace is perfect for this type of thing.

Shaun Zelber, Chairman of TexoMobile, says : “We are very excited to launch this partnership with AdMob and introduce our wapmasters to the world’s leading mobile ad serving network. As iGloo grows and adds community building services we will look at creating more innovative partnerships with the leaders of the mobile space.”

iGloo launched in June of this year and has already has over 1600 tested mobile internet sites, with around 30 new sites per day added. Each site is classified amongst 15 categories and 76 sub-categories , humanly verified to check the content classification, the compatibility and to give a rating. In terms of traffic iGloo has exceeded expectations with over 200% increase in traffic per month.

“In November we are closing in on a 300% increase in page views and the number of new sites has increased to such a level that we have to hire a new moderator. All of this goes along with our plans to use iGloo Directory as our launching pad for other exciting services over the next couple of months.” Vianney Settini, co-CEO of TexoMobile declared.
