From what I gather here a couple of people are trying to pick holes in
anything they can possibly try and pick holes in in reference to the MRC,
its current and proposed committee & any current and proposed rules.....
Existing members of the committee have answered all enquiries with honest
answers and all attempts at mudslinging with grace and good humour.
I'm proud to be a member of this MRC - I think if I honestly and truthfully
had so many complaints about a club, then I would off and leave everyone
else to enjoy themselves in relative peace and quiet.....
Some of us do miss committee meetings Alison, no-one should feel guilty
about it, attending meetings is a very small part of the job. Its only the
relish on the filling in the sandwich really. Its all the bloody hard work
that people do creating magazines, putting on shows and making rolls at 3am
that contribute the most. We all know how some people come along to meetings
and really don't have huge amounts to say, but work their butts off all year
round, and others (like me) can bleat like bags of wind for hours on end at
meetings. We all bring different things to committees and basically a good
committee is a good team who work and pull together for the great and good
of the club & use each others attributes in the roles best suited to them.
Come on we know this - I don't need to be saying it....
TBH I don't feel that a lot of comments justify replies. The current &
prospective cttee members do not need to adopt defensive stances. I've only
been to a few MRC shows & the attendance numbers, both rat and person speak
for themselves really.
As someone who everyone needs to tell any piece of scandal, gossip or bad
news to - simply because of the position I hold - I can honestly say there
is only one or two clubs constantly moaned about and slated to my knowledge
and they are NOT the MRC.
Lisa, happy MRC member, with no complaints...
