Giveamanakick and ZU gigs   Message List

for those who haven't heard, there are some last minute changes to
tonight's gig: due to tour scheduling problems, Zu won't be able to
play, we've managed to reschedule a date for them on Tue 9th
November, and Giveamanakick are now headlining tonight's gig...

Please come and support them, we're even giving you a special offer
of a fiver only to see both gigs (as the Zu one alone is priced
£4/£5 that means you get to see tonight's gig for £1 or even
for
free - all you need to do is buy a ZU ticket from us tonight).

Anyway, revised line-ups as follows:
Wed 3rd Nov at the Subway, Edinburgh
Giveamanakick + Uncle Beesly + Wall Street Ammunition Hero
doors 7.30pm, £3 or £1 only if you are also buying a Zu ticket.

Or if you cannot make it to Zu but still want to come along tonight
and could help us by letting others know and bringing a wee group of
friends, we could also offer you a group discount, text 07879898795
with details of who you are and how many people you could convince to
come along and we'll give you a deal...

Anyway, here's a short review to give you an idea of what they sound
like: "A feisty guitar/drum Pixies/Fugazi/Helmet duo, Giveamanakick
know how to entertain. Hilarious well-timed Bowie songs from
Labyrinth mingle in a punk cabaret with righteous riffs salvaged from
the long obscured Eighties hair bands. Lightning Bolt weren't a one
off, they just heralded bigger things to come, and Giveamanakick may
be it. This is a live show in your lounge room and I cannot sit here,
inertly another second!" Careless Talk Costs Lives
for more info see http://www.giveamanakick.com

Uncle Beesly is one crazy Fifer and his guitar, expect anything.

Wall Street Ammunition Hero play songs of a vignette-rock persuasion
with guitar, bass and drum machine technology. "Like Hex, but better"
Anonymous Listener see their website http://wsah.jetcow.com for mp3s.

And next week's gig: Tue 9th Nov at the Subway
ZU + Usurper + one tbc
doors 7.30pm, £4 before 8pm, £5 after

other recommended gig this week-end:
Cold Dead Hands presents: Tigers! + Monster Killed by laser +
Snowblood + Birds of Prey + Killing Spree + Yakuza
Sunday 7th Nov at Studio 24, 7pm, £5
