La Quiete:
Hailing from Italy, La Quiete take foundations inspired by the epic
grandeur of Portraits of Past, combine it with the headlong energetic
rush of late nineties screamo and a dash of French sincerity.
Fractured melody and strained vocals form a whirling maelstrom of
sound. A prolific volley of 7"s (with; Acrimony, Apoplexy Twist
Orchestra, The Pine, Cantena Collapse, and K.C Milan) preceeded last
years breath taking "La fine non è la fine", taking them firmly to
the fore front of European hardcore. Their set at the Summerslam Fest
in Germany is fast becoming the stuff of legend, this is one not to
miss.

Catena Collapse:
It must be something to do with S.A.D.S. Or maybe its just all that
ice and snow. Whatever the reason, Norway is a nation that produces
many fine emo-leaning hardcore bands. Cantena Collapse further this
grand heritage.
"fantastic melodic emo with build ups and desperate vocals, they
groove like fuck. This is seriously gorgeous, taking the mid 90's
sound and doing something really good with it."-Andy Malcom,
Collective-Zine

The Mock-Heroic:
There are two types of emo bands in this world. The shit post-numetal
watered down, sweat band wearing, black hair dye sporting, ear plug
wearing commercial rebellion type of emo that makes you wanna shoot
yourself in the face. Then there are bands like Norwich's the Mock
Heroic. A band who know their way around the Witching Hour back
catalog, comitted to delivering urgent, frantic, scattershot hardcore
like their lives depended on it. Coming across like a cross between
Palatka and Off Minor, Mock Heroic are one of few bands in the UK
doing the screamo ouvre justice.
Yelp of Sords:
Yelp of Sords is Dan, former vocalist with UK post-rockers Cat On
Form (Southern Records). In a rest from the band format, Yelp of
Sords is one man and his guitar, but One Line Drawing or Dashboard
Confessional this is not. Dark, difficult and intense.
