I did exactly the same a few years ago. I think you can pick up the
badger, as it is wild and not owned like pheasant or deer are.
Technically it is poaching if you take one those that you hit.

I took the car to a body repair shop and they repaired it for not much
money, costliest part was the fog lamp in my case. Very good repair,
couldn't see it afterwards, still can't. :)

Repair shop was S J Curtis in Bristol, but I expect that any good
repair shop can do something similar.
