I'm gonna sound dumb now - is Dublin Castle (for
Easyworld) in London or Dublin? See, told you! Either way
can't go - too many dull commitments.<br><br>I'm in
Canterbury at the moment so nice and handy for Eastbourne,
should the occasion arise.<br><br>What are the band up
to now? I'm not reading the list as I have so little
time! Hopefully they are planning new single(s).
Deamons and ...betterways would be good.<br><br>Rich

I don't know too much about Vicious Pink, just
found a couple of their 12"s a few years ago in a
charity shop. They were around in the early 80's. But at
the moment they're my favourite group. <br>Gene are
OK-ish i suppose but i'm more into glittering pop tunes
or a bit of old rock at the moment or the Foo
Fighters/Faith No More going back to my student days.

Thanks for contributing to the whole favourites
thing those who did - keep them coming! To
claireybiscuit - I love the Velvet Goldmine too - it's such an
ace film and the songs are amazing - you know that
song with the line something like "Maxwell leather
Demon rock hand-jive - I came down like water..." -
that song is immense. What's yr favourite song on it?
That line in the film is great when Slade is talking
about Kurt Wild and he says "I wish I'd thought of it"
To which the response comes "you will, love. You
will." That is truly beautiful!<br>Hey Kate - I've never
heard of Visious Pink, are they any good and what style
of music are they? Sorry for my ignorance, but I've
never heard of them. Are they British? Does anybody
here like Gene? I've borrowed a compilation off my
flatmate and they sound pretty ace.<br>NLI10 - unsure
about this, but is the Idiots one of the first Dogma95
films? I really wanted to see that bt I fell asleep when
it was coming on TV. So it's good, then? I saw
Festen (maybe the 2nd Dogma95 movie?) and it was really
great. I was well impressed by the rawness and power of
that movie. Even though I like Moulin Rouge.<br>Yrs in

I'm actually having trouble getting my greasy
mits on any old MLS singles other than the ones I've
got - (Walk/Dont Walk / Girl Thing / Empire Line) and
since MLS B-sides are generally considered to be of
extremely high quality I want to get a hold of more stuff.
The great thing about EI is that it's starting from
scratch with a brand new sound and I can buy all the
stuff as it comes (theoretically! I'm a poor student!)
Does anyone know any UK sites/stores which are good
for MLS stuff? What is the general price for just an
old single?<br>PS: Our lil group now has a link on
the official EI site! :) I'm happy as Larry! Keep up
the good work folks! Keep posting and sparkling!

Hey, N - welcome on board! Easyworld (from what
I've heard) sound immense - and as for Biffy Clyro -
that band are amazing! Their previous manager+producer
are both acquaintances of mine and I heard of them
through that. <br>Just to keep you up to date - through
the group email I asked the question "What is yr fave
song/band/film/MLS song/album?" I would be grateful if you wished to
reply!<br>I never got to see MLS so I'd love to hear your
tales of jollity. I got into them a lot later, I'm
afraid - around 1998/99 I think and hence have few of
the B-sides - but I love the album material with a
passion and I felt that would be enough to set up this
site!<br>Thank-you for joining, and I hope you enjoy our
journey!<br>Yours in Sparkle<br>xxxRossxxx

Hi,<br><br>Just joined BUT HEY!!! Asking if
easyworld are anygood is like asking if early MLS was
anygood. Buy the album NOW, go see them live and enjoy
them.<br><br>Back to the intro's - I've been into MLS for
absolutely ages (since 12 reasons video was released to the
chart showI think). I have practically everything (not
the uneat the apple promo single - they were trying
to rip me off at the time but 」4 doesn't seem
expensive anymore). They were great live and after the
Shefield gig around 'girl thing' they joined in in the
club night and it was all very special.<br><br>Other
bands are easyworld, Biffy Clyro, and all the bizare
post-rock stuff on the constelation record label (Godspeed,
Sparo, Mt. Zion etc...) Lots of violins on that last
lot. Anyway cheers for reminding me of the
band!!<br><br>Tempted to invest in Exile too. That jake tho' - shady

I received this e-mail a while ago from Jake, but
never got round to putting it on the site - I had
basically written to him after MLS had split up, telling
him about the kind of effect his band had had on me,
how much I enjoyed their music, and how he had
affected a lot of people's lives in a positive way. Here
is his reply.<br>"Hi Ross, <br>Thanks for you're
kind words, I really do appreciate them especially as
it's <br>been quite a difficult time getting my new
band set up, I'm currently in New <br>York working on
songs and putting finishing touches to the new band web
<br>site. &lt; <a href=http://www.exileinside.co.uk/
target=new>http://www.exileinside.co.uk/</a> &gt;<br>I know
that probably sounds amazing to you but I really do
miss my friends <br>in MLS and it was very difficult
to finish something that was so much a part <br>of
my life. <br>Please let me more about your club and
maybe I can tie it in with the new <br>bands site
<br><br>best regards <br><br>Jake"

Hello Kate - pleased to meet you! You are our
fifth member! I am so proud! My Life Story were immense
- but due to how late I got into them (1998) I had
missed the bulk of their touring and I never got a
chance to see them live - however I hope to amend this
situation when Exile Inside comes to fruition with Messers
Shillingford and Cahill at the helm. The MP3 track is great -
it's available at the band's website if you haven't
got it yet -<br> <a href=http://www.exileinside.co.uk
target=new>http://www.exileinside.co.uk</a><br>and
it's very good. I'm glad to hear from you Kate and
hopefully we can get some discussion up and running - as
every other MLS site seems to have shut. This club was
basically started because I felt so depressed at all these
sites that were basically left to rot over time. They
were such an amazing band who didn't give a shit about
what nobody thought and I loved them so much for that.
I hope to speak to you soon and cheers for joining!
Take care of yourself, man. Yours in Sparkle - Ross
Em.<br>PS: What other bands do you like?
