Not sure if this counts as Pagan, but my daughters schools is semi-pagan
as they celebrate the seasons and venerate a Female Earth Deity.  They
are having their School Fair tomorrow and I thought I would mention it

Greetings to One and All !

This Post may seem odd to some, and amusing to most, but, I am very serious.

Let me start off with the fact that the Mayans, Hopi Indians,
Nostrodamus, (sp. ?), other past "psychics", Egyptians, Hewbrews,
Christians, Islams, and, yes, even within the Celtic writings, which
we have, (what is it, Sagas ?), speak of The Last Days, The Final
Battle, The End of the Age, etc. ....

What ever ones' belief about what this will be, (mine is a combination
of what is out there), still, one can not turn a blind eye to the fact
that the Worlds' Disasters are intensifying and becoming more wide
spread.

Now, to my reason for Posting.

Whether any one will, or would be willing to join me, I am "putting
forth" to All a challenge and a Unity Force, (for want of a better
word at this moment), for a Joint Effort in the form of a Ritual,
calling upon the Spirit of our Mother Earth to cease her destructive
Powers, not to destroy her innocent children, the lowly and poor.
To Ask her forgiveness upon her children, (contrary to some Pagans,
and Witches, askng for forgiveness is not a strict christian concept,
but universal, "Pagan", or christian.), and to turn, or tone down her
destructiveness upon all life.

My thinking is, (and, again, this is not just belonging to
christians), to use a FAST for a month, Starting out slowly at the
coming Full Moon, and Ending at the next. The first week, slowly
reduce your food intake, and meat consumption. The second week, a
vegetarian diet. The third week, reducing more of your food intake.
The fourth week, go on a juice diet, (and if possible at all, with out
as much sugar as possible).

With in this time period, to begin a contemplation of our reasoning
for this fast and coming Ritual, and a plan, (both for Solataires, and
Covens, Groups, Groves, etc.), for the frame work of the Ritual.

The gist of this Ritual is to come to a point of a state of mind which
is beyond words. Chanting and singing, ever so increasing, at the time
which the Leader deems is right, up to three times, (practice this
part if it is necessary), becoming gradually louder, till the Emotions
stop, and one comes into that state which there are no more words to
be had. After-wards, it should be the souls cry and groanings which
implore the Spirit of Mother Earth to listen to Her childrens pleas
for the ceasing of destruction of life; and revealing to each what
should be done on an individual AND community / Global Level. After a
time in this "state", one will eventually come out of it at their own
pace. And should stay quiet till every one has come out. Then, people
should quietly depart. No socializing, or comparing notes, till the
next day. Giving time for more personal visions, feelings, emotions,
dreams. Then, only, compare what others have received / experienced.

Yes, it will take some planning for those with children for baby
sitters, but, I still think this Experience would be one well worth
it, personally and "Inter - Pagan / Heathen Wide", (if I can take
"license" with this phrase ?)

I know, many will smile, others ROFLOL, etc. .... But, afterwards, I
hope one would think about what an experience of this Nature would
bring, personally and Community Wise.

Indeed, such actions are useful and help our immediate environment,
but the die has been cast for a long time and the results of not only
totally natural processes but our interference with same will come.

The carbon dioxide, for example, that we have spewed into the
atmosphere will, if all emmissions stopped today, take a thousand
years to abate.

The real problem is, of course, too many cooks spoiling the broth.
Nobody is willing or even able to deal with this.

Uganda's parliament is set to pass a law that punishes gay people with
prison or death -- let's raise massive global outcry to stop this
brutal bill:

Uganda’s parliament is preparing to pass a brutal new law that would
punish gay people with prison -- even death.

Initial international criticism drove the President to call for a
review. But after a well-funded and vicious lobbying effort by
extremists, the bill looks set to be passed -- threatening widespread
persecution and bloodshed.

Opposition to the bill is rising, including from the Anglican church.
Ugandan gay rights advocate Frank Mugisha writes, This law will put us
in serious danger. Please, sign the petition and tell others to stand
with us – if there’s a huge global response, our government will see
that Uganda will be internationally isolated by the proposed law, and
strike it down.

With the decision expected in days, only an irresistible wave of
worldwide pressure will be enough to save Frank's life and many
others. Let’s build a huge petition to stop the gay death law -- click

The bill proposes life imprisonment for anyone convicted of having

report homosexual activity to the police within 24 hours!

strongest critics come from within Uganda. The Reverend Canon Gideon
Byamugisha is one of many who’s written to us – he says,

It is violating our cultures, traditions and religious values that
teach against intolerance, injustice, hatred and violence. We need
laws to protect people -- not ones that will humiliate, ridicule,
persecute and kill them en masse.

By rejecting this dangerous bill and supporting the breadth of
opposition to it, we can help set a crucial precedent. Let’s build
massive support for Uganda’s human rights defenders, and save lives by
