Newcastle Ravens Rugby Football Club is for people who are interested in playing for or supporting a gay rugby team in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK. Though promoted as a gay team, it will in fact be open to all men in the Newcastle area, whether gay, bi, curious, trans or straight. Discrimination, homophobia and prejudice are not welcome. The team has been established to encourage gay people to enjoy the sport and help break down barriers, not put them up. The team aims to introduce new players and potential players to the sport as well as developing the skills of experienced players.
Anyone who wishes to play will be more than welcome, regardless of age, fitness level or experience, and there's no pressure to play until you feel ready to give it a try.
