a quick recap on our announcement at the end of "Nightmare vs
Assault." last month. For those of you that liked us, Nightmare is
now back for good, and at a brand new regular venue.

The sugar bar, in the lace market, Hockley (just keep walking past
the old angel and bar none...)

This new venue allows us to do so much more...You wont believe what
we have swung for you lucky lucky people. For the first Mare, Vodka
Jellies are a pound! with the promise of more drinks offers coming
shortly.. but thats not all. Mare has just got bigger, way bigger.

we have full control of a 250 capacity floor, with a huge
dancefloor, sunken bar, and we control it from 9pm....to 3am on a
SATURDAY NIGHT!!

thats right, 6 hours of goth/industrial/cyber/electro/bleepyshite

and Europa, back to the second saturday...where we belong, no clash

Now for some less happy Nightmare news.


Last months Nightmare at Bar None was, for better or worse, the last
ne there. To be honest the club didnt really suit us and we didnt
really suit them. I could tell the management were unhappy wiht
theri regulars turning up and walking out (there attitude not ours i
know but hey, its their party right.). We've parted on good terms
and may have the odd one off their but unitl further notice its no
longer there and unless we find another Friday or Saturday night
venue we wont be runningthe club in the foreseeable future.

We've a few ideas for new venues and im 99 per cnet sure we'll be up
and running again by January, obviously this xmas party in leicester
gives us time to find the *right* place this time.

  Please do come and support us on the Leicester show as its going to
be AWESOME, be great if some of our London chums can make it up as
its that little bit nearer than Notts and theres no need to worry
about crashing over/getting home as the ealry train can get you
back!

Nightmare is reborn!

Heya guys.

Well after all the kind words said about Nightmare we've decided to
revitalise it and keep it going for as long as we can.  However from
now on `mare will be on Fridays and to compensate for that it's
*always* going to be free… yes absolutely bloody ruddy well free,
yes FREE.

We will be making a few changes to the night, we've made a decision
between the team to go a little bit more upbeat and harder, so to
this end we'll be moving away from the 80s and alternative tunes we
sometimes played to focus on sexy ebm, electro,  pounding industrial
and techno.  We felt that this was really what most people wanted
from the night.

So Nightmare starts of it's new run this Friday and we'd love it all
if you could join us for fun and shenanigans.

DJ Gadge Europa , DJ False and DJ Urban Cannibal will be providing a
breakneck set of all the hardest, stompiest, darkest and coolest
tunes about, you know the stuff we do.. You love it you do!

We'll be running from 9.30pm until 2am ish with the usual after
parties every now and then.
Entry is a whopping zero quid.

Dress code, dress to impress, themes will be advertised a couple of
months in advance to give you time to get your clobber together.


Our new venue is the excellent Bar None (behind Void) which is a
great venue and actually a little bigger than Spiders was.

And finally we'll be having special drinks offers like the ace cheap
cider and black and vodka one we had last month.

And lastly to anyone who thought the `last nightmare ever' was a bit
of a cynical marketing ploy, it wasn't.. I really was going to sack
it all off but had so much fun at the last one and received so much
enthusiastic support that I really didn't feel it was fair to stop
it.

Nightmare wil be doing a special one off in Rock City this Saturday
so if you thought you were going to miss out on Nottingham's finest
cyber industrial alternative night…you were wrong.

As we're in the shit with spiders being shut, Rock City have kindly
agreed to let us have disco 2 this weekend.   So for no more than
your normal night out at nightmare you can have a night out at city
with all the normal nightmare tunes and people!

So come down and see the Nightmare DJs playing the best in
Industrial, hard style, cyber, 80s, goth and alternative, all the
usual faves and a few new ones thrown in as well!

And… if you fancy a change there will be a little bit more room to
wander about and  visit either the main room playing emo, rock, punk
and ska  in the rig room playing the more classic rock tunes.  Don't
worry though we'll still be paying stompy industrial goodness!

So if you're not at download get your bum down to rock city and join
us for a fantastic June nightmare.

As an added bonus I've got us a load of `get in cheap' passes so
I'll be making these available from 8pm in the pit and pendulum for
nightmare regulars (and anybody else coming to see us there for that

Nightmare weekend warning!



Its Nightmare this Saturday, and as we're going back to monthly, if
you miss this one then you're buggered for another four weeks!

So join us this saturday for Nightmare with Djs Urban Cannibal, DJ
Christ and Gadge Europa and special  guest DJ Cognition (from
nottinghams excellent Illumina) playing the very best of
Goth/80s/Industrial/Alternative/Electro and Hardstyle

Nightmare - Saturday 10th April
At Spiders, Pelham Street. Nottingham (opposite pit and pendulum..
sort of)
Time:9pm til 2am
Dress: goth/cyber/alternative (i dont like enforcing this but its a
request from a lot of the regulars)
Entry: £4 before 10pm / £5 after
Cloakroom £1 (very limited spaces so get there early to take
advantage of it.)

In other news.

Although Nightmare won't be running fortnightly anymore I (Gadge)
will be regularly Djing at Sheffield clubnight `The Bunker' . The
next Bunker is the 16th of April where I'll be Djing with Nightmare
favourite DJ False


Lastly I'd really love it if any of you would like to join us on the
23rd of April for Compulsion fetish night in Birmingham, we're
organising a bit of a Nightmare away trip so please do come along..

Anyway.. moving on - in other news....
Although I may have told some of you that it's Pirates theme this
week at nightmare, it's not, I've just realised its far too short
notice for folk to get costumes together so we've moved it back a
fortnight, so....
Nightmare 27th March
'Pirates of Pelham Street'
"fifteen men on a dead goths chest... yo ho ho and a pint of
snakebite and black and all that..."
Join us for a jolly rogering at Spyders Nighteclub (a scurvy house of
ill repute).
Time:9 o'er ye clock 'til 2 in the morn
Dress:  goth/cyber/alternative or pirate themed
Music: Ye Alternative, EBM, Gothick, and (17)80s
Entry: 4 gold sovereigns before 10pm / 5 of em after
Cloakroom £1 (very limited spaces so get there early to take
advantage of it.)
Theme: Pirates, wenches and swashbuckling heroes.

  This Friday (12th March) Nightmare DJ Gadge Europa is playing at the
new Sheffield club night 'The Bunker' and I'll be doing quite a few
sets so if you like Nightmare stuff it'll definatley be worth going!

Reminder – Nightmare this Saturday 28th February

Just a quick post to remind you all that it's Nightmare  this
Saturday and, once again we'll be bringing you the very best in goth,
industrial, eighties, electro and hard dance.

Resident DJs Gadge Europa and DJ Christ provide five hours of
underground sound. (Well strictly speaking it's first and second
floor sound at Spiders but you know what I mean.)

Can't promise an all night after show party this month as I have to
work at silly o'clock the next morning but if anybody's kind enough
to host one I'd be very grateful!
