RE: Re:Ulster story!
Great !
Aplause !!!
I am happy to see you did it well and not very surprised you eat (a
litlle) and drink (I am sure more than eat) your prize money ! I hope
you
made some pictures of it all.
It is indeed very surprising you have no leakage, perhaps no more
oil !
(a french joke, sorry ...). Perhaps it is my way of driving that make
the carburetors refueling ? It seems really strange. Perhaps Norton
are
allergic to french riders ?
For the handling, it is possible that the little difference in weight
change the problem. I may also ride differently ? Do you notice an
improvement with the longer course on the front fork ? But it is a
good
point you don't have the weaves ! May be the Michelin are stiffer. Do
you
find a difference with Dymag wheels ?
Are UGP roads bumpy ?
I am surprised you feel the Michelin sliding, because I always
remember
the Michelin Pilot Sport like very grippy but very difficult to
control
when they start sliding.
If you think going to UGP next year, let me know sooner so that I can
come to help you. I don't think I will ride TT next year, because I
will
try to ride more short track and especially Spa Francorchamps. Do you
know that Moto Légende (a very well known mass event for classic
bike)
will move from Montlhéry to Dijon next year. If you want to ride
french
short track without too much noise problem, you may be interested ?
Dijon is a very interesting track with fast curves, especially
the "courbe
de poix" wich is probably over 100 mph with the Norton.
Are you on hollyday now, or do you go back at work ? We are in
hollyday, and after some little trip around home last days, we are
leaving
Paris tomorrow morning for the south of France. We expect warm
weather, but
hope not too hot. We had more than 3000 death in France because of
the
lattest very hot days. As usual in France, we need to find a
responsible guy for this tragedy. It is now a beautiful politic
imbroglio like
french are so good to build. It is a little bit disgusting to see
each
tragedy used for political strategy.
As I wrote you in a precedent e-mail, I learn that they refuse Norton
Rotary because of the lack of performance. I hope it is not because
of
my poor result in TT. I am sure, even me can manage a sub 21'30" with
this bike and normal handling.
I follow UGP on realroadracing.com, it was really good. A very good
website.
See you soon !
Cyril.
