Glad to see you and the F1 at the IOMTT   Message List

Huw, Glad to see you and the F1 at the IOMTT. Marti and I ended up
marshalling at Creg-Ny Baa for the Senior TT. Thought I should
join your group as I have the only F1 (#004) on the road in the USA.
Would like to race one with AHRMA here in the US if one could be
found as mine is too rare being a pre-production prototype
(originally registered to Noton Motors). Currently racing a Commando
in the BEARS class and building a Rickman/Norton with a Maney short
stroke 850. Had the F1 on the track at Daytona, Florida and Second
Creek, Colorado but the thought of finding unobtainium fiberglass
bits ended the idea after that. I am thinking about running the bike
at the Bonneville Salt Flats in stock configuration as it is only
an hour and a half from where I live in the mountains of Utah. When
I had the bike in Germany it ran for hours at 120mph until the Boyer
Box crapped out (thanks for the fix Graham!)So I'm not sure what the
top speed stock might be-had it up to 130mph. Winter is here with a
vengence so will have to spend time wrenching instead. We have had
over 100 inches of snow so far this fall-skiing will have to take
the place of riding for a while. Cheers, Tom
