Just thought I`d let you know my wife and I visited Mallory Park on 13th June to see the Norton parades as well as the Classic bike racing. The museum exhibited and ran the Duckhams bikes and the JPN team bikes.

 

The No 5 JPN Norton pulled some spectacular wheelies along the start finish line at racing speed , within the pack of parading bikes, ( similar to the wheelies on the publicity photos) and the museum team wearing JPN shirts were sitting on the trackside barrier and their cheers were louder than the bikes themselves !

In the pits the familiar flames on overrun on a returning works bike was a sight to be remembered...

 

On a separate topic has anybody had problems using " Shell Rimula C40 " oil.  I`m attempting to get shell to send me an accurate letter of confirmation that the Rimula C is a direct and equal replacement for  Rotella X40.....  and they hav`nt responded...   my bike sits waiting a stripdown due to a possible bearing seizure / overheated and lack of lubrication problem.  Please comment on this as I need some form of backup if I`m to take Shell to court for selling oil on a false description.
