I am really writing to enquire whether you
currently
make any use of, or indeed have heard of,
Deep Cryogenic Treatment(DCT)
as an aid to
performance and reliability for competition applications.
DCT is not well known in the UK, but essentially, it
is a thermal
treatment for metals that greatly
improves their operational life and
performance, and
can be applied to anything from a pair of brake discs
to a
whole engine and gearbox. The results are
very interesting. Brake
discs last some 2-300%
longer in competition conditions, engines produce
5-10% more power, whilst wearing less and being
substantially more
reliable. The process has been around in
the States for 18 years or more
and is
extensively used by 7 out of the top ten NASCAR teams for
example. Try looking up “Cryogenic Treatment“ on the Web
and you will find
dozens of firms in the States
offering this process. Or follow this link
to just one
firm www.300below.com to see the claims being made. We
have been working in this country in a small way for
the last 4 years or
so, and have many satisfied
racing clients including some Formula 1
teams and
top level international rally teams. Our experience
fully
substantiates the claims being made by the
American firms, and I think the
main benefit in your
particular field would be in essence to reduce the
costs
of racing, because valuable and difficult to source
parts can be
made to last longer and break less. If
you would like further
information, please e-mail
your contact address and I will send a small pack
of information for your consideration.
