I have not met anyone who has said that the Mgp is better off without
the Norton
 We had hoped to run 2 rotary Norton's at the Mgp.
 The amount of people who have already asked me "why no Norton at
this years Mgp" is getting silly.
 I need a convincing answer to give them.
 Some of them are getting vocal and I am finding myself defending
the Mgp committee's decision .
 I was talking to Phil Archer at Skerries and he says that he is not
racing at the Manx.
 Phil has had a call from his doctor that he must have an
operation done on his arm, and Therefor he will be unable to compete
at this years Mgp.
 Please can I take Phil Archers entry for the senior Mgp on the F1?
 Phil has offered me the loan of his bike if that is necessary but
in truth I want to run on the Norton.
 The Norton has a fan club that travels to the Mgp to see and hear
the bike.
 If it is because of last years slightly disappointing result at the
Manx. Please let me point out that last year I gambled on it being
a wet race and it did rain but not wet enough for my setting to work.
 If I can't have an entry for the Mgp on the F1 I will be forced to
go to the TT next year where I know I will have some difficulty
qualifying.
 I know there used to be a 40 year rule for the Mgp but I thought
it had been dropped! .
 I appreciate that I have had a good run at the Manx and the Norton
is getting a bit long in the tooth.
 I feel that bikes like the Norton have a traditional place at the
back of the Senior Mgp.
 Parts for rotary Norton's are in short supply and I know I get
priority on the dwindling stock of critical parts just because I run
the bike at "The Isle of Man".
 I have yet to t met anyone who wants to see the Senior Mgp as a re
run of the Junior Mgp.
