This group has been established by Ofcom (The United Kingdom's Office of Communications) to allow Communications Providers that have been Allocated Telephone Numbers by Ofcom, to contact each other for activation purposes.

When activating a Telephone Number Allocation in the UK, it is the responsibility of the holder of the Allocation, to negotiate with, and to notify, relevant UK Communications Providers and, where appropriate, relevant overseas authorities.

Those who have been Allocated Telephone Numbers are required to advise Ofcom of the contact in their organisations to whom notifications of the dates for activation of the Allocated Telephone Numbers should be sent.

This group exists to maintain a list of those contacts and to make those contacts available to others who have need of that information.
