Your are not being picky, I said description as a
rough guide... I stand corrected!
I know that Black
Sabbath were before the New Wave, but those guys were
revolutionary for their time and a beacon light for Metal bands
to come...
Judas Priest might just have been a
little before, and as for Rainbow I'm not sure... but
the first album [Long Live Rock & Roll] I got for
them is one of my favourite albums ever... and I love
their stuff as a whole!!

By the way, saw Saxon
live in London a week ago, they were fantastic!...
great crowd, great night... / anyone heard their new
album Killing Ground - great music!
Heh MetalMartyr, just reading the old messages...
you are one amongst a decent number of true young
metalheads who are still into the Old Metal style.
From
what I've heard from the style called > Nu <
metal I'm not too impressed - but there are some good
new bands appearing... Staind and Area-54 have caught
my ear...
As for comeback, well Germany have a
very lively rock scene continuing at full force and
the youth are still rocking their brains out with
style...
We in the UK are faring better than the US I think -
every month there are decent concerts around to go to /
thank God it's a fairly small country!!
Think we
have to forget about all the posers and just continue
to enjoy ourselves, as well as propogating to the
new guys what decent rock there is out there...
Hi Adam, welcome to the club. I can see where you
are at with your taste, but I must point out (which a
lot of people make the mistake of doing), that Black
Sabbath, Judas Priest & Rainbow weren't NWOBHM bands, but
the previous British bands that the NWOBHM bands
aspired to be. Melodic Metal probably describes this
genre best. Ii appears over the years, that the
anacronym NWOBHM, has taken a life of its own and come to
describe that very style. But I'm being picky ( he he ),
it's still the best !!!
Hi all!... / well i suppose i should say that
most of my best bands are of NWOBHM description -Black
Sabbath, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Def Leppard,
Rainbow...
Plus there are simlilar foreign bands like Dokken,
Europe, Scorpians, Queensryche, Journey... that i really
like as well!
Hope to join in with the club - see
you guys around then!!...
So your brother is a Yanky Doodle Dandy too eh !!
Well I hope he had as good a time as me on mine. Dont
recall seeing you in my guestbook on the new site Mr.
Martyr. Get over there, and check it out. I've just put
some pics in a gallery there too. Take Care mate. PG
Anybody want to buy a Metallica tour programme
from the Damaged Justice tour 88-89? I'll sell it for
a fiver plus postage if anybody is interested. I
also have some for 'ordinary' rock groups like MSG,
UFO, Whitesnake, Dio and a Donnington programme if
anybody is a closet listener, like myself.

Borrowed Time on CD or pre-recorded cassette. I have sold
all my vinyl and would't mind getting hold of these
again. If you have these to sell please email me with
details etc, thanks.

Jacquie gibson, Email

No way Paul Gaskin born same day as my bro!!! hahaha anyways me is gettin more
pics for ya hoodlums so I suggest the rest of you mothers get on line!!!
Cheers for the pics M M. They're cool, like you
say though, we could do with more off the other
members. Still, I'm surfing the net and spreading the
word, so hopefully our numbers will grow. keep up the
good work chaps.
mE HAS sent in loadsa lovely Venom Nwobhm pics of
the only back metal band who are actually ok. These
guys may have influenced a 1000 frauds of pretenders
and fake asses who get into the look more than
anything, but to be honest they were what black metal was
meant to be. Heavy Metal with a satanic theme more
constant than most. Also the Scandanavian crap thats out
these days had lost the plot by not being heavy metal,
instead being black metal which is alien form of music to
me. Venom also maintained rock n roll to their music
which was very important as is the atmosphere the made
and make today.
Hey NWOBHM fans where did ya all go. No one is
ever postin messages in this great club. Well ye
better start comin online ya all!!!!!! Om me is gonna
get more pic's on the go also as soon as I get time.
Hope ya all liked me Tyson Dog pic which I will make
bigger when I learn how to do it with the correct
software!! I hate computers!!
me has added some pic's of Tyson Dog, I'm sorry
bout the size but it's better than nothing. These guys
totally blow me away, I've never heard anything like them
ever. Being so young now I wish I was older so I could
have been around for their career. Long Live The Dog.
Last thing I heard bout one of the Dog members was
that the singer/guitarest Alan Hunter sings on the
latest Pariah album which I have yet to buy. Should be
good then cause he sings pretty dam well!!! All the
best you motherS!!!!
Well it's alot more than that for me. Anyways has
anyone ever heard of Death Wish? They were an English
thrash band at the tail end of the 80's. Well if anyone
has an un-wanted copy of their only cd release Demon
Preacher (their second and last release) then could the
get in touch with me. Oh and has anyone heard what
"Evo" the singer/drummer from War Fare is at these
days??? Last thing he did was a project with Wurzel from
Motorhead (used to be anyways) called War Head.
Hey hey, cool it Martyr, you'll blow a fuse. It's
only music for goodness sakes, everyone's entitled to
their own opinion. He's right though, I've never heard
of Breed77, but then again, first time round I never
listened to any of my contemporaries. I find that stuff
rubs off if you listen to it, even on a sub-conscious
level, and I would prefer to just see how the muse takes
me. I've seen revues that liken my music to
"Santers", "Phil Vincent", and a host more....sorry, never
heard of them. I generally listen (or buy) artists that
I've come across that blow me away, or do things I
aspire to with their instrument. The likes of Jeff Beck,
Alan Holdsworth, Adrian Legg, Steve vai, Joe
Satriani,Patrick Rondat, those kind of guys. But I can only do
what I do....period. Peace & Love guys.
Look organ tell me where does one purchase your
magazine? Well let me tell you it aint available in the
shops like Virgin, HMV and wool worths so where the
hell we meant to read your piece of shite. Any way
another point your wrong about is that that bloke
gaskin_rocks aint even paul gaskin ok paul gaskins name is
gaskin2000 so you can stop blaming him for not publcising
about new Gaskin work. Also those bands you mentioned,
they meant to be like nwobhm? Yeah right, what the hel
kinda name is breed 77. Dont't sound very good to me so
you crawl back up into your nice little life style
mate and drown in your bath cause you stink, you've no
respect and you are going the wrong way about trying to
do something good for nwobhm. So you run your own
lable!! well woope do for you you fat arsed bastard,
stuck up piece of shite thats all you are!!!! WHO THE
HELL DO YOU think you are? May be you should stop
pushin your pencil.
No Gaskin because you never fucking tell anyone -
i work for Rocksound magazine as well as run a very
busy record label and put on lots of gigs - if you
actually bothered telling people what Gaskin were doing
you might get some support - instead you tell someone
who's actully interested that they're a fuking waste of
time - Angel Witch are playing an ORGAN show soon, as
are SAXON - You will find plenty of bands who are
doing the NWOBHM thing now on the ORGANART site, but
you Mr Gaskin have your head stuck up your fucking
ass so you'd never know. Instead of just slagging
things off you might have tried to put things right, if
you actually bothered to tell people about your album
you might get some coverage - what a fuckin waste of
time you are in your little timewarp bubble.... you
missed the Wytchfynde, Tresspass, White Sprit bits and
the rest on there then - you missed our recent PAUL
D'ANNO show in London at the Barfly? You nver hear of
things like Breed 77 - yeah, we're a fuckin waste of
time - You actually get some feed back from one of the
few UK media outlets who actually bothered to try and
track you down to see what you were doing and you go
announce it's a waste of fucking time.... thanks
Answer to your questions:- I love Sabbath, Priest, Rainbow, Zeppelin, and also
Metalica, Megadeth (some of it).I got into it through my Dad, and No I dont play
in a band.
Well what a fuckin' waste of time that was. Cool
! I thought, a member has his own website, let's
have some of that. First thing I try....the A-Z band
list. No Angelwitch, no Samson, and NO GASKIN !! Sorry,
but at that point I just left. Ho Hum.
Shite!!! I mean I buy the Classic Rock mg
occassionally for the good coverage it does on the bigger bands
I like listen to such as Motorhead and Judas
Priest. When did you ever see a mag with a Saxon
interview. Shame them mags are so crap, Metal Hammer was
good about 7 years ago and now it covers a music which
has no relation to heavy metal at all. In Germany I
hear they got mags that cover heavy metal properly,
but thats shit for anyone in the Uk aint it!! If I
could I'd start me own mag and run me own heavy metal
bar I would, but I cant cause I ve no money!!!
Question to gaskin_rocks, who else you into, how'd you get
into what your into, and are you in a band or
anything? later the martyr
That's what I like to see, a bit of passion.
Shame we can,t make mags like "Classic Rock" do more
coverage, as I know these bands still gig, but only rarely,
and/or abroad. But, they can't keep good music down.
This os for seanorgan. Na your wrong mate bout
living in the past, I aint old so I don't know what the
past is like to live it these days so there ya go.
Also how would I hear of them nwobhm flavoured bands
if I live in Ireland and not England? I mean do you
see any coverage in mags on that sorta music? No you
don't!! Anyways be negative all you want, cause me that
guy gaskin_rocks and sergio are gonna show you
all!!!
The past indeed, well least you could do would be
incourage some of us. Tell ya what? If anyone thinks "oh
dear what a sad stupid dream" well I'm gonna show you
all cause I know.............NWOBHM a new revolution
starts here even if it has to be done one band alone..
wiat till you see!!!! RBOTN GONNA KICK THE FUCK OUTA
EVRYONES ASS HAHHAHAHA
Hi , I don't have much hope but I'm
looking
for obscure early 80's Hard Rock / Heavy
Metal
bands live tapes...(Jaguar, Anvil,
Satan,
Angelwitch, Samson, Raven, Fastway, Waysted)
Got quite a
lot of Motorhead and Kiss tapes
mainly but also
the Thin Lizzy 82 or Judas
Priest 1984 Lyon
(France) audio tape.....
Metal Martyr, you are a breath of fresh air in
the Uk. All over the world, other kids are getting
into "proper" metal, but the Brit press can't see it (
what's new ) I'm only 17, and I can only seem to buy the
music I like from back catalogues. The new Gaskin CD
"Stand or Fall" was fucking brilliant !! but all I saw
was a shitty paragraph in "Classic Rock". Hell, if
they can't get a revue in that mag, how are we going
to here of any of that type of band ? Anyway, with
the likes of us, we might just redress the balance.
From little acorns and all that...
You see, if anyone would wake up and take notice
then maybe yes,but as someone who puts of big gigs in
London every week, puts out lots of cutting edge
records, I'd say no - because you're all living in the
past - we've got NWOBHM flavoured bands like Evil
Knievel or 7 Air but where are yuo all? Sean ORGAN -
ORGANART.COM/ORG RECORDS, LONDON ENGLAND - long live MYTHRA!!
I totally agree with you(?). Sure is possible to
bring Heavy Metal back as it was. And yes, there's
other people thinking just like you. That is exactly
the plans of my band, DENIM AND LEATHER, the only
difference is that we don't have 18 anymore (we are around
30) and we are from Brazil. Ok, we are not british,
we are not in 79, but that is the music we love, so
lets fucking play it!
Cheers
Sergio
