Almost forgot this place existed till reminded by a Canadian friend.
Well, if anyone still logs in, and is interested in the
band "Gaskin". We will be appearing at the "Headbangers Open Air"
festival in Germany next July 8/9 (dont know which day yet), and
will be doing some warm up shows in England first. Also, with any
luck, we'll have a new album finished by then (writing it as we
speak), and will perform some of those songs at the festival as well
as one or two from our old chestnuts, "End of the world" and "No way
out", and of course "Stand or Fall". The line up will be the same as
from 2000, with myself of course, along with Andy Soloman - guitar,
Dave Pick - Drums, and Tony Ilkiw - Bass. If anyone has anything
they want to know, or just say hi! I can be contacted at

FORWARD:
Dear friends,
After a long time, the infamous METAL GODS WEB RADIO SHOW returns on
the Internet to wreak havok once again! And this year it's gonna be a
regular feature, because the webcast will be on EVERY Monday, as
opposed to the current once-a-month schedule. The show will still be
updated every two or three weeks, but the stream will be webcast
weekly, to allow for more Old School fans to relive the Golden Years
of Heavy Metal!
Now you can enjoy your dose of vintage NWOBHM every Monday for almost
all day long. Tell your friends, and enemies too! The new start is
set for Monday 26 January 2004 with a killer show featuring EF BAND
(with 3 tracks from their latest anthology "Their Finest Hours"
including a never-before released live version of "Fighting for Rock
And Roll"), PARALEX, TYTAN, HOLLOW GROUND, SAXON, ATOMKRAFT, DUMPY'S
RUSTY NUTS, VENOM, BITCHES SIN, NO QUARTER, GIRLSCHOOL, PERSIAN RISK
and the amazing DENIM AND LEATHER from Brazil with a killer
WITCHFINDER GENERAL/HOLOCAUST powerful medley!
To enjoy the METAL GODS WEB RADIO SHOW a simple 56k modem connection
is enough. The webcast usually starts at 7:30 GMT and is looped until
19:30 GMT.
For more info, please visit www.metal-gods.net where you will also
find articles, memories features and downloads, everything related to
the NWOBHM. No new stuff, no Nu Metal, no Nineties, no shame!
Thanks for your time,
Goblin

As soon as I sort my personal circumstances out, I will be getting
back into the swing of things. I've told Jess Cox that I am
available for next years festivals, I have started writing again,
and I will probably release the last of the old crap...oops !
err..stuff in some form or other for those that want it.
The next project might very well be a mixture of new old and "live".
I dont really know yet. REALLY want to get out there again though.
Ive stagnated for to long. Its time to move on. Cheers for
writing !!
I'm trying to get the lyrics to the NO WAY OUT CD. The official
Gaskin page that had them offline (geocities) has them missing. :(

Hello anybody who might still use this site !! Doesnt seem to have
been much activity of late, so guess I havent missed much. Ive had a
really shitty few months, but looking forward to the reast of the
year. Been writing some new material for a future Gaskin project, and
meeting up with some other "rock veterans" tonight for a possible
meeting of minds and a brand new band. One of the guys drummed for a
band called "MORE" in the past, anybody remember them ? Any how, will
see how it goes. I can live without food and water, but I cant live
without METAL !! Paul

Hi! Sergio.
I do not use this site very often. In fact hardly ever. Just to let
you know that Paul has been having a bit of a rough time over the
last few months, and is going through the process of getting
divorced. That is why you can not get through to him.If you want to
know more, or want any messages passed over to him. Drop me a line at
russ.gaskin@... and i will make sure they are passed on.
All the best.
Suss.
Hi! Does anyboby have any news about Paul Gaskin? The site is not
working anymore. I wrote him a letter, but returned, cause he is not
at the same address. Email either.

OK, for those interested, the Gig is at a pub
called THE HOBGOBLIN on the Holloway Rd, i think the
nearest tube is the Holloway Rd one itself or maybe
Highbury and Islington (Im not sure as i'll be travelling
from Sunny Yorkshire, and although i know the area
pretty well dont blame me if you get lost, ha ha!)
So
see you all there i hope!
NWOBHM Legends ELIXIR will be playing London on April 5th 2002, venue to follow

than Savage and Grim Reaper I thought!
Yeah, I was talking to Paul Samson last week, and
he reckons it's really good, and goes into lots of
detail. I know from my own experience of talking to Malc
when he was putting it together, he wanted to make
sure all the details were correct. Highly Recommended
!!!
The Book is by the rather jolly nice Malc
McMillan if anyone is interested, its published by IRON
PAGES in Germany and is worth every peny of the £22 it
will cost you, i would urge every member of this club
to get it now!! VIRTUE, REINCARNATE, WITCHFINDER
GENERAL, TYRANT, DESOLATION ANGELS, VENOM & WITCHFYNDE all
rule in my opinion, to hell with all this modern
experimental rap techno rock or whatever, you cannot bang your
head to it! METAL LIVES!
Greetings one and all, any fans of the cult
NWOBHM titans DESOLATION ANGELS will have some pretty
exciting news soon! Anybody got a copy of the TYRANT "Hold
back the lightening" 7" they want to sell? (Thought
not...oh well). Hopefully converse with some of you
soon.....Hiurrah! Metal is the law!
Hi guys. Paul Gaskin here. Been off line for over
3 months because of an arson attack on my home (no
one hurt fortunately). I see because I havent kept
the site up, it's disappeared, oh well, will rectify
that when I get back. This is on a public computer. If
anyone's interested, there is a new Gaskin about to start
rocking in the not too distant future. We were to play
the New Jersey "Metal Meltdown" bash in April, but
the promoter has just got Diamond Head, and we were
uncerimoniously dumped !! Oh well, at least he's prommised us the
one in LA later this year. Had a great gig not too
long back with Paul Samson. They all stopped at my
place, and we talked about old times till the wee hours.
I've heard the NWOBHM book is brilliant, but havent
seen a copy yet. Well, love to you all, and hopefully
I'll be back with my own shit pretty soon. Bye.
I found this club through adam_pc and would like
to thank him for posting the link to my club.I've
been checking out the previous posts and photo section
and have liked what I saw.
It seemed like hear in
the states when the new wave was going on that I was
the only one listening to it in my little town.I was
trying to turn it on to my friends that liked the
classic metal like Priest,Sabbath,etc..We would have to
travel about 60 miles to a store to find this stuff in
the import section or order it from magazines.Well,I
hope to post some more later and maybe get some of you
to join my club and share these great pics and
stories.
This club is awfully quiet!... try checking out
