Re: Revealed : secret locations we knew about anyway

Fascinating! Sheetlines 64, August 2002, page 38 discussed a Channel
4 programme which specifically queried the omission of Burghfield,
among other sites, from OS maps. The Sunday Times of 26 May, 2002,
quoted the response of the Secretary to the D notice Committee
that "We agreed [two years ago] it was silly to keep these places off
the maps. If it can be seen from the air or from the road, then it
can be shown on a map".

So, has it taken this long to reach Cabinet, or is the new policy a
yet further relaxation?

Chris.
