OS adopted 'Places of Worship' as policy some 15 or 20 years ago, and
it has been appearing in 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 legends for quite some
years - 10 at least, I'd say.

You can access 10,000 scale mapping (MasterMap?) at http://www.magic.gov.uk/but I don't actully know how recently they updated it, but I would of thought it...
