It used to be possible to look at the 2nd Edition OS maps on
http://www.old-maps.co.uk/ but that link no longer works. Is any of the
historic OS mapping still available free of charge and, if so, what is
the URL please?

http://www.visionofbritain.org.uk is quite useful but doesn't do the
same.
