Local authorities seem to vary a lot in terms of accessibility to their
archive material. Norfolk County Council have a website
(www.e-mapexplorer.co.uk <http://www.e-mapexplorer.co.uk/> ) which they
encourage planning applicants to use to check historical land use. It
contains early OS material, tithe maps and the 1946 and 1988 aerial photo
collections.
Another good source of aerial photography is the National Monuments Record,
