I am currently doing doctoral research into a number of organizations in
the early twentieth century which were concerned with surveying and
planning. In their membership i have come across two individuals who i
think served as directors of the OS - Colonel Hellard and E. M. Jack. I
wondered if someone in the Charles Close Society would know about them
and/or be able to suggest a good source of information on the history of
the OS during the early 20th C.
