RE: [oxford-cycling] Belgium 6th April

Hello Tom,
Thanks for the reply. I think a word of caution might
be appropriate possibly. Without knowing your cycling background and
the fact that you say you are injured at the moment I hope you won't be
offended. I went on this ride 2 years ago and found it pretty tough
going towards the end of the day. Total riding amounts to approx 6 1/2
- 7 hours and about 115 miles in total. All the people who meet at
Calais are racing cyclists and, whilst it's not ridden at race pace,
there is no hanging around.

There is no web address it's just a bunch of cyclists that meet at
Calais to catch the 7am ferry every year and have a ride across to the
Kemmelberg.

Still, if you fancy it, and can be fit enough to not get left behind
then come along.

Neil

Hi Neil

I'm certainly interested in doing some cycling on the continent. It
would be good to get some details; do you have a web address? I'm
currently not cycling much due to a knee problem but with a bit of luck
will be in better shape by- when - April?

Cheers

Tom

OK I know it's early but if you need to plan time off work it's best
to get it done early. I am DEFINITELY going again this year and as
I now have a small van I will have space for 1 passenger and about 4
or 5 bikes (including mine of course) so if someone can take another
vehicle we could have a small group tearing up the roads of northern
France.
