For those looking for a ride abroad I can suggest you look on the British
Legion website on www.britishlegion.org.uk
look under Fundraising and you will find a couple of continental rides designed
to raise money for
this charity. There is one from 11th May to 17th May 05 from Boulogne to Alsace
and another from
Greenwich to Paris from 8th September to 12th September05. I did this one 4years
ago and found it to an excellent
ride, averaging 75miles per day, complete with a team of French motorcyclist
escort to keep the whole thing
rolling a la Tour de France! Suitable for all levels as the 200strong group
splits into groups, so
there is scope for club cyclists to have a blast. Total back up supplied, hotels
arranged on route and wonderful reception from the French. Return via Eurostar.

HI again,
I'm also interested in cycling in France this spring
and summer, and am planning to do some of the cols.
Has anyone got some good tips, recommendations and
advice on cycling in France?
Cheers,
Matt
