Howard,
Please note that London West District Committee has yet to approve these events
under CTT Regulation 4.  There will be some minor amendments in the final list
now being submitted to Thames Valley Police for events in this District only.
 
  These will be (1): all the Stadhampton tens will be on the newly-modified HCC
118A in reponse to a request by John Jenkins on behalf of your club.  Details
are on the London West website.  The start will now be at the same place as for
the HCC167 hilly, that is at the telephone exchange entrance close to the HQ
area  with the finish now further east of that used last season.
 
2. The Oakley circuit event on HCC265 on 1 April will be a ten mile event as
that is what this course code means.  Sunset that evening will be around 19.35
so 2-laps totalling 17.4 miles would just be possible starting just after 18.30
but we have not had this alternative for our police notification list but could
arrange an amendment later so long as we had it before the end of next month. 
There would not be time for all 30 riders to complete that distance before
sunset that day though.
 
3.  There is a course restriction on HCC246, Witney by-pass forbidding starts
before 19.30 on weekday evenings so the Oxonian event there on 5 August must
start at 19.31 and not at 19.16 as listed.  In recent years the final event on
that course has been about 2 weeks earlier  and this restriction seems to have
been overlooked.  Sunset on 5 August will be at about 20.45  and it is about 2
miles from the finish to the HQ at Barnard Gate so the last rider will need to
finish by about 20.39 or go back along the cycle path if seriously late.  That
means that it will still just be possible to have a field of 40 riders but only
if the final ones are under 5 minutes.
 
4. The final Mid Oxon ten on H10/17R  on Saturday 29 August must start at 15.00
and not at 14.30, like all other Saturday events on this course.  As you will
see on page 171 of the new 2009 CTT Handbook the same start time applies for the
Oxonian Open Ten on 12 July so your list needs amending there too.
 
Otherwise the list seems fine.  Unless the West DC has adopted our bulk
police notification scheme your will still have to notify the relevant police
authorities of all the events on the U courses as specified in Regulation
27b .  We do that for you for all London West events, Type A and Type B.
