The full circumstances are unclear but he appears to have collided with a
stationary (broken down) van on the bypass near Heyford Hill RAB about
11am on Sat 14th and never recovered conciousness. I presume he was riding
his TT style bike which led to the initial incorrect and confused
suggestion that he was engaged in a race at the time.

His funeral will be at the Crematorium in Bayswater Rd at 11:15am next
Wednesday 8th April. I expect a full turn-out from local cyclists and
runners as he was very active in both fields as well as Red Cross etc His
wife - Sue- has requested that attendees should not wear mournful black.
