This is the site of West Midlands PSC (WMPSC), which is a Branch of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC).
PSC was founded in 1982 and is an independent, non-governmental and non-party political organisation, with members from communities across Britain and throughout the world and affiliations with many trades unions and other organisations. More than 40 Branches across the country are working towards building a just and sustainable peace throughout the Middle East. We support the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination. We believe the Palestinians have a right, enshrined in international law, to return to their towns, villages and land. PSC opposes all forms of racism, including anti-Jewish prejudice.
We organise campaigns, demonstrations and public meetings across the UK, including a range of activities in Birmingham and the wider west Midlands, and liaise with European and other organisations to highlight the human rights abuses committed by the Israelis and to raise awareness on the issue of Palestine among the general public. Other activities include producing information for members and the general public; lobbying the media, institutions, the British Government and local MPs; and promoting relations between British and Palestinian organisations and communities.
