Lake Anjikuni mystery   Message List

Hi there,

I found this interesting tale (probably you've already heard of it)
concerning a mass dissappearance of 1200 eskimos from a small
settlement located beside lake Anjikuni, north canada in 1930.

Try an internet search for lake anjikuni and you'll see what I mean.

For pig iron, I tried locating the lake via the internet and found
same at this link:
http://atlas.gc.ca/site/english/gazetteer_results?featurename=angikuni
&province=ALL&entity=ALL&x=12&y=9
Note it is spelt Angikuni here.

I emailed the site, asking wheither or not this event occured and they
wrote back saying they had no information about this on their data
base.

So for another try I e-mailed the Canadian Mounties, asking them to
confirm wheither or not this event actually happened.
I have had no reply as of yet.

just thought I'd share this with you

best
